5 months ago today I was inspired by friends to begin the Keto lifestyle and got a great foundation, coaching and start with Lori Ballen’s Keto coaching program and highly recommend it - I have shed 60lbs so far and finding it a great way of life for me. I truly believe each person has to find what works for them however I can honestly say I don’t know when I have felt this good inside and out. I haven’t shared until now because honestly I didn’t want to be on one more “diet” or “failure cycle” and am doing this just for me and my health and well being - this has been a deeply personal journey and it’s been a peaceful, joyful easy change for me - the one thing I never expected is how much clarity and calmness I have experienced - since I have never taken any medication I wouldn’t know but it’s what I imagine Prozac would be like - never realized how out of balance the impact of sugar and carbs made me feel. I am halfway to where my goal is however it’s all just one day at a time making better choices. I share this in hopes that someone else who has tried everything and found nothing worked long term might be curious and courageous and find this could be something that works for you too. 18 months ago I shared with a good friend when we discussed what is the one thing that seemed impossible - in all of my life - it wasn’t business goals or life goals - it was this! I felt such shame and frustration because I am used to accomplishing anything I set my mind to - except this! My business and life coach, Joe Stumpf, one year ago helped me change some lifelong patterns that no longer served me and said all change starts with 17” - raising your hand, being accountable and going public with it. By changing my environment and the desire to live my best life having good health caused me to start this journey and I am discovering a joy in caring for myself as well as I care for everyone else.
I know it’s only been three weeks...but I’ve already noticed a huge difference. I absolutely love the program. It’s easy and I eat foods I love. My rings fit on my fingers again. My heels don’t hurt when I get out of bed in the morning. I feel full. I don’t get really hungry during the day. I’ve stopped losing so much hair in the shower in the mornings. My feet aren’t numb when I go to bed at night. I have energy all day long and don’t feel the need to nap. And these are only the things I can think of at this moment. In my mind I feel like I’ve ONLY lost 10 pounds in 3 weeks. My personality is such that I want big results fast. But I know it’s going to take time. Just like Lori’s journey took time. But as I type this I see how much has CHANGED in 3 weeks. It’s not only about the weight loss. I’m definitely in a better place. Thank you, Lori for being an inspiration and for your help.
I started coaching with Lori on July 1st with a goal to lose 10 pounds by my vacation (I leave today). This morning I weighed in at 163.8!!!!! I love the focus and accountability that working with Lori brings and I’m super excited to start working toward the next goal, under 160, which I haven’t seen in over 4 years and it feels so reachable now! Thank you thank you thank you Lori & Team!!
